This experience is primarily designed as a pre-hike package for guests preparing to commence the iconic Thorsborne Trail / Hinchinbrook Island hike the following day.

Designed for adventurers wanting a stress-free start to their journey, this all-inclusive pre-hike experience allows guests to relax, recharge, and prepare before heading into the wilderness. Enjoy seamless transfers, rainforest experiences, accommodation, home-style meals, and optional wildlife encounters — all organised for you.

Guests are responsible for ensuring all accommodation, ferry bookings, permits, National Park fees, transfers, and hiking logistics are organised and factored into their overall travel plans prior to booking.

While this package is primarily intended as a pre-trail experience, post-hike stays may also be available. Guests wishing to use the service after completing the Thorsborne Trail should note that scheduled pick-ups currently operate on Tuesdays only, with return transport into Ingham available on Wednesdays. Guests will then need to arrange onward travel from Ingham to their next destination.

Tuesday Departure Schedule

🕛 Pick-Up Time: Around 12:00 PM
📍 Pick-Up Location: TYTO Wetlands Information Centre, Ingham

Travel Route:
TYTO Wetlands → Paluma Rainforest → Hidden Valley Cabins → Lucinda Jetty / Ferry Terminal

Please note that all schedules, departure times, pick-up locations, and activities are subject to change due to weather conditions, ferry operations, road access, operational requirements, and participant numbers. Hidden Valley Cabin Tours will remain in regular contact with participants throughout the experience to provide updates and confirm all final timings, locations, and arrangements prior to departure.

🌳 Paluma Rainforest Experience

On the journey to Hidden Valley, guests will stop in Paluma to explore the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wet Tropics rainforest.

Guests can:

• Join a guided rainforest walking experience

• Or explore the village and rainforest at their own pace

⏰ Approximate stop duration: 90 minutes
🥪 Lunch is included (usually packed picnic-style)

🌿 Arrival at Hidden Valley Cabins

🕒 Estimated arrival: 3:00 PM

Upon arrival, guests can:

• Relax and settle into accommodation

• Enjoy the swimming pool and rainforest surroundings

• Access Wi-Fi, showers, restaurant facilities, and communal areas

Optional wildlife tours may also be available depending on numbers and weather conditions.

🍽️ Dinner Included

Dinner is served between 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM.

Main meal options typically include:

• Steak dish

• Chicken dish

• Vegetarian frittata option

Optional Return Transfer Service

For guests completing the Thorsborne Trail, we can also organise return transfers from Lucinda back to Ingham (TYTO Information Centre).
