Our Brunch in the Bush Day Retreat is a relaxed five-hour experience designed for connection, beautiful food and time to completely switch off in nature.

Your day includes a beautifully styled boho Brunch in the Bush, followed by a guided group wellness and energy session incorporating grounding, meditation, intention setting and gentle energy practices.

Enjoy some free time to relax, swim and experience our sauna and ice bath, before coming back together for a beautiful Sound Bowl Immersion to close the day.

These beautiful day retreats can also be created privately for groups by request, with options including yoga, massage, Reiki, breathwork, meditation, sound healing and other energy and wellness modalities, subject to practitioner availability.

Please give yourself plenty of time to travel out to us and don’t stress or rush. We are in a remote area, so the drive is part of the adventure.

MT SPEC / PALUMA ROAD

Mt Spec Road is currently operating with an hourly escorted convoy.

For a 10:00am school holiday activity start, we recommend aiming for the 9:00am escort.

From the top of the range, allow approximately 30 minutes to reach Hidden Valley Cabins.

We also recommend allowing around 10 minutes either side of your expected travel time, just in case.

If you miss the escort, please don’t rush. Drive safely and let us know when you can.

HERVEY RANGE / LAROONA ROAD

You can also travel via Hervey Range and Laroona Road.

This route does not require the Mt Spec escort, however it generally takes around 45-60 minutes longer from Townsville.

IMPORTANT TURN-OFF:

After crossing Running River Bridge, keep an eye out for a silver sign marked Hidden Valley / Paluma.

Take the FIRST RIGHT TURN after the bridge.

This turn can be very easy to miss, and sometimes Google Maps may tell you to continue further before turning right, so please keep an eye out for the sign.

MT FOX ROAD

If travelling from Ingham, Cairns or the northern side, you may also travel via Mt Fox Road.

Please check current road conditions before travelling.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

• Download your maps before leaving town as phone reception is limited in the area.

• Fill up your car before heading out.

• Bring plenty of drinking water.

• If you are planning to spend longer in the area, bring snacks or extra food as there are limited food options nearby.

• Drive carefully and be aware of wildlife and cattle on all routes.

• Allow extra time and avoid rushing, particularly around dawn, dusk or in wet weather.
